Roatan Wildlife Sanctuary Parks and Beach

Come discover Roatan’s different types of species and wildlife on the island on a guided tour hearing and learning about Roatan’s history and rich culture. If you are an animal lover, this tour is for you. It combines by three great stops for you to get close up with the animals. Your tour starts out from your ship terminal with a small city tour stopping along the highway on hilltops for 360-degree photo opportunity of the surroundings area.

From there, you will continue on to French Cay one of the little known treasures on Roatan, Sherman Arch’s Iguana Farm, where more than 2,700 iguanas wander freely about the property that’s your first stop for you to meet, feed, and take photo of these reptile iguanas and see the different types of fishes from the dock. After that, it is on for a drive over to the monkeys, sloths, and birds sanctuary park for you to photograph, feed, and learn all about the different type of animals on the island, before heading over to the butterfly garden to see the different species of butterflies and birds we have on the Island.

 After meeting, spending time, and getting up close with the animals you will continue down to West End Village to visit the chocolate & Rum Factory for a tour of the facility and try free samples of homemade chocolate and mixed rum, and rum cake pastries made here on the island. Following by a chance to walk around the town for your shopping and dining opportunity.

After enjoying your tour and spending time with the animals, it is off to West Bay Tabyana Beach for a cooling swim with your family and friends to enjoy. You can snorkel right off the beach, or go parasailing, Jet Ski ridding, fly boarding, or scuba diving (not included). On the other hand, if you just want to relax pull up a beach chair and lay in the shallow clear crystal water. You will have access to a beach chair, bathroom, changing room, fresh water shower, and free WI-FI. 

  • Tour Duration: 5 hours guarantee to have you back to your ship in enough time to spare to walk around the pier for any shopping activity you may want to do.
  • Note: Guest must bring along a beach towel, water camera, sun cream, hand sanitizer, or hand wipes, and be able to walk on uneven places.
